“Adobe FormsCentral has helped cut down on the time we spend managing driver registration. And by providing electronic forms to drivers days before an event – instead of hours – we aren’t scrambling for information at the last minute and can help ensure that the information is more accurate.”
Regional raceway uses Adobe FormsCentral to streamline event management, improve driver and spectator experiences, and deliver essential race information to media
Since 1948, Slinger Speedway has long been home to current and future race stars, featuring professional, semi‐professional, and amateur race events. As the track has been transformed from clay to asphalt, automotive technology has also made leaps and bounds to make races faster, safer, and more exciting.
In this same spirit, race organizers have found new ways to leverage technology to bring top drivers to the track, share driver and sponsor information with race‐ day media, and distribute information to the greater race community — faster and more securely. At the core of these processes, Slinger Speedway relies on Adobe FormsCentral to collect all necessary driver information prior to events - helping to keep drivers' minds on the task at hand and not on filling out paperwork at the track.
"In the past, drivers had to deal with a lot of paperwork as they were unloading cars, tools, and crew from their trucks," says Dale Norenberg, race organizer and scorer for Slinger Speedway. "It was a difficult process for the drivers—and even more difficult for organizers to decipher handwriting and collect all the required information to get the driver on the track."
Precision and efficiency
Adobe FormsCentral provides Slinger Speedway the tools necessary to get race events off the ground. With the Adobe solution, race organizers can collect vital driver information — including driver history, sponsorship information, and vehicle information. "There are a lot of details that go into setting a race," says Norenberg. "Adobe FormsCentral has helped cut down on the time we spend managing driver registration. And by providing electronic forms to drivers days before an event — instead of hours — we aren't scrambling for information at the last minute and can help ensure that the information is more accurate."
FormsCentral also provides event organizers a platform to securely collect driver data, organize it, and distribute sensitive information rapidly. By exporting only the necessary driver information to spreadsheets needed by race officials, media, scorers, and other staff, organizers have more control over the data and can help ensure that the different people have the exact information they need without compromising privacy or the integrity of the information.
In addition to race‐day management, spectator data collection using electronic forms has helped to better engage race fans by making them aware of urgent events. "Text alerts that we send out using information collected via FormsCentral help us by keeping all of our loyal fans aware of inclement weather, race cancel- ations, and other information to make their race‐day experience the best it can be," adds Norenberg.
